FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about this product.
Every Juiced bat is hand-turned from Northern Hard Maple — the same species (Acer saccharum) used by MLB players. Hard Maple has a tighter, closed grain compared to ash or birch, which means a denser hitting surface, more pop at contact, and better durability over a full season. Our billets are sourced near Cooperstown, NY and inspected for straightness of grain before turning begins.
Size by comfortable swing weight, not maximum length. Youth players (ages 8–12) typically swing 26"–30" (Drop -8 to -5); high school players 31"–33" (Drop -3); adult and college players 33"–34". A bat you can control and swing fast will always outperform one that's too heavy. If you're unsure which size to order, email us at info@juicedproducts.com and we'll help you choose based on the player's height, weight, and league.
The Juiced Maple Wood Baseball Bat is a traditional player model with a standard tapered barrel — the profile most players have trained with. It's balanced across the length of the bat with a conventional sweet spot placement. The Torpedo bat features a dramatically flared barrel that concentrates mass at the point of contact, creating a shorter, heavier-feeling impact zone. Both are made from the same Northern Hard Maple — the difference is pure geometry and feel at the plate.
Yes. Solid wood bats are legal across virtually all youth, high school, college, and amateur leagues — including Little League, USSSA, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, NFHS, and NCAA. Wood bats don't require a certification stamp; the material itself is the governing standard. If your league has a specific rule about wood bats, contact your league director to confirm.
Juiced bats are hand-turned by the Juiced team in upstate New York, near Cooperstown — the birthplace of baseball. The brand was founded by Wes and Maddux Zlotoff and partners with Dustin Kelly, Head Hitting Coach for the Chicago Cubs, who helped shape the bat profiles and size recommendations. Every bat is a small-batch, handcrafted piece — not a factory production run.
Three rules: hit with the label facing up or down (never toward the pitcher), store at room temperature, and never use it on rubber-coated balls or batting cage balls — those are designed for aluminum and will crack wood bats quickly. Wipe down your bat after sweaty sessions. With proper care, a Juiced Hard Maple bat is built to handle a full season of regular use.
