Kiwi Lime Drip Maple Torpedo Bat
Description
Kiwi Lime Drip Maple Torpedo Bat | Juiced
The Kiwi Lime Drip Maple Torpedo Bat from Juiced Products takes the same Northern Hard Maple used in our classic bats and reshapes the barrel for a new era of contact hitting. The torpedo profile shifts barrel mass toward the handle — putting the heaviest, densest wood exactly where contact happens most. Every torpedo bat ships hand-painted in the Kiwi Lime Freshly Squeezed colorway with a matching polymer diamond-traction grip. Cupped for balanced feel. Hand-crafted near Cooperstown, NY and finished in Scottsdale, AZ.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about this product.
Torpedo bats have a dramatically flared, bulging barrel that concentrates mass at the primary contact point rather than spreading it evenly across a traditional taper. The result is a heavier impact zone with more momentum transfer at the exact spot most hitters make contact. The tradeoff is a slightly smaller sweet spot — meaning the torpedo barrel rewards a consistent, repeatable swing. It's a hitter's bat for players who have locked in their mechanics.
Solid wood bats — including torpedo-barreled models — are legal in virtually all youth and high school leagues, including Little League, USSSA, Cal Ripken, NFHS, and NCAA. Wood bats don't require a certification stamp. That said, torpedo-style bats are a newer profile and some leagues may have specific barrel taper rules — we recommend confirming with your league director if you're unsure.
The same Northern Hard Maple used in all Juiced bats — sourced near Cooperstown, NY and inspected for straightness of grain before turning. Hard Maple is the densest hardwood used in professional baseball bats, which makes it ideal for a torpedo profile where the flared barrel takes significant stress at contact. Softer woods won't hold a torpedo barrel shape under real game use.
The torpedo barrel is best suited for players who have consistent swing mechanics and a reliable contact zone — typically high school age and up, though advanced youth players can benefit too. Because the torpedo concentrates mass at a specific impact point, players who make contact at different spots on the barrel each swing won't see the same benefit as a hitter with a locked-in, repeatable swing path. Our MLB hitting coach partner helped define the sizing and profile for exactly this type of player.
Torpedo bats follow the same length guidelines as standard bats: youth players (8–12) typically use 26"–30"; high school players 31"–33"; adult players 33"–34". Because the barrel mass is concentrated, the torpedo can feel heavier at the end than a comparable traditional bat — if you're between sizes, consider sizing down one inch to maintain bat speed.
